Blüm Health Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2030 for its UK operations, encompassing Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and a defined subset of Scope 3 emissions, aligning with NHS Net Zero Commitment requirements.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

As a 100% remote digital health solutions company, Blüm Health Ltd.'s carbon footprint is limited, focusing on indirect emissions. We have completed the Evergreen assessment to understand and measure our impact.

Baseline Year: 2024

Scope 1 Emissions: 0 tCO2e (negligible due to no direct fuel combustion or company vehicles)

Scope 2 Emissions: Estimated at 634 kgCO2e/year per worker (based on electricity consumption of employees working from home, using national grid average emission factors)

Scope 3 Emissions:

• Upstream Transportation and Distribution: 5,844kg CO2e (covering cloud services and equipment)

• Waste Generated in Operations: Negligible, managed at the individual employee level.

• Business Travel: 71.65 kg of CO2e (train travel only)

• Employee Commuting: 0 tCO2e (100% remote working)

• Downstream Transportation and Distribution: Negligible.

• Scope 1 Emissions: 0 tCO2e

• Scope 2 Emissions: Estimated at 430 kgCO2e/year per worker (reduction due to green energy tariffs among employees)

Carbon Reduction Measures

Remote-First Policy: Continue 100% remote operations to eliminate commuting emissions where possible.
Sustainable Procurement: Prioritise suppliers with strong environmental credentials and verified carbon reduction plans.
Cloud Services Optimization: Optimise cloud infrastructure for energy efficiency where possible.
Employee Engagement: Encourage employees to adopt green energy tariffs and provide resources on reducing home energy consumption.
Responsible Business Travel: Continue prioritising train travel over other modes of transport and only travel when necessary
Offsetting: Begin investing in certified carbon offsetting projects to neutralise remaining emissions.
